We’ve been having a colder-than-normal winter in Newport News, but a huge “heat wave” has come through the past few days. On Sunday, Kim and I were out walking the dogs and the air temperature reached 63°F.
We were walking on a trail that goes around Lake Maury near our townhouse when the warm air met the ice cold water (there were still patches of ice on the lake). It was the densest fog I’d ever seen over the lake. I ran back to the townhouse, grabbed a camera, and started snapping before the air temperature cooled down at sunset.

I managed to get 17 decent shots and the whole set can be found right here. We’ve got a project cooking for early next week, so we’ll see you then.
