For Valentine’s Day we decided to whip up some simple cards using supplies we had left over from older projects. Luckily we had some red ink and two types of French’s paper that were heavy enough to make cards. Unfortunately, Derek and I have both been super busy lately so we didn’t have a chance to collaborate on a design. Instead we each decided to do a design of our own and we’re really excited to share them with you.
Derek’s design questions our choice in using cupid as a romantic icon. Derek’s card, shown below, is a one color screen print on 65 lb French’s Parchtone Aged paper. This card measures 5.5″ x 4.25″ and the inside is blank for your writing pleasure.

The design I came up with is more of a whimsical, lighthearted illustration. I think with all of the rain that has come through lately I subconsciously put it in my design. My card, shown below, is a one color screen print on 100 lb French’s Speckletone Maderon Beach. This card measure 4.25″ x 5.5″ and is also blank on the inside.

Both designs are paired with vibrant red envelopes and are sold in sets of 5 for only $8 in our Etsy store. These cards are versatile and can be given to anyone your heart desires. Besides, everyone could use a little love on Valentine’s Day.
As always you can views more pictures of these cards on our flickr account at Why Cupid & Love Is In The Air.
