Derek is a Master of Design!
No really, Derek just received his Masters of Fine Art in Design! He even got to walk across Radio City Music Hall’s stage to receive it! So you can probably imagine that we’ve been super busy with family visits and celebrating. To top it off, we’ve also been busy wrapping things up in New York. That’s right, we’re leaving New York and heading for more southern pastures. These past 2 years have been wonderfully inspiring but they have also been emotionally draining. I like to say that we have an intense love-hate relationship with New York. As much as we enjoy the exposure to all of the art and culture, we just aren’t interested in the 12 hour work days that New York requires. Plus, we want to own a house with a yard, a luxury that is unattainable in the city. It’s also that we just miss the South. We’re still figuring a few things and don’t want to make any announcements, but we’ll let everyone know what’s up when we get settled. Until then, we are taking a week off from posting to look for a new apartment and wrap up moving. Wish us luck!
