Polly Morgan is a British contemporary artist who works primarily with taxidermy. Polly’s taxidermy isn’t necessarily what you would expect. Most of her early work has a lighthearted touch to it. Her last solo show at All Visual Arts in London, Endless Plains, has a much more somber tone than her previous endeavors. However that doesn’t take away from the beauty she creates from death. I like the little touches she adds to her work, such as the piglets suckling the sap from a fallen tree or a bat cave in the stomach of a stag. Needless to say, I’m definitely intrigued by her work.
